Liberty City Stories Odd Jobs

In Liberty City, sometimes being a hired gun may not pay the bills. Luckily there are many Odd Jobs you can find around town. They pay well, and often reward you for your work. Hell, some of them are just plain fun!


"Taxi Driver"

Steal a taxi, press UP BUTTON.
Player must pick up peds and take them to the given destination within a
time limit.
A "Tip bar" ticks down during the journey, and drops when the player
crashes. If this is above zero on arrival, the player’s reward for that trip
is x1.5.
Peds and destinations are generated randomly.
Rewards: Cash depending on distance travelled and tip bar. Complete 100
missions (not consecutively) and the modified taxi (Bickle ’76) is created in
Trenton.


"Paramedic"

Steal an ambulance, press UP BUTTON.
Player must pick up patients and deliver them to the hospital within a time
limit.
Level 1 has 1 ped, level 2 has 2, etc. Generated randomly.
Picking up peds or dropping them at the hospital gives time bonuses.
Rewards: Cash – number of peds saved this level x level number x 100 dollars.
Complete level 12 and infinite run is awarded.


"Vigilante"

Steal a police vehicle and press UP BUTTON.
Player must kill randomly created criminals in a set time.
Level 1 has 1 criminal, level 2 has 2, etc. They drive in convoy until the
player attacks, then split up driving fast.
Rewards: cash – level x level x 50 dollars. Complete level 12 and maximum armour
is raised to 150.


"Firefighter"

Steal a fire truck vehicle and press UP BUTTON.
Player must put out randomly generated car and ped fires around city.
Level 1 has just a car, 2 has a car and driver, etc. cars are all placed in
a rough line.
Once a cars fire has been extinguished, the occupants get out and will
slowly stagger around. They must also be put out.
Rewards: cash – level x level x 50 dollars. Complete level 12 and player is made
fire proof.


"Thrashin’ RC" (Portland)

Enter "Toyz" van in Hepburn Heights construction site, Portland.
Player has to complete a number of laps of 25 checkpoints against 3
opponents. Number of laps increases each time the race is won.
Reward: Money


"Ragin’ RC" (Staunton)

Enter "Toyz" van in Belleville Park.
Player has to complete a number of laps of 33 checkpoints against 3
opponents. Number of laps increases each time the race is won.
Reward: Money


"Chasin’ RC" (Shoreside)

Enter "Toyz" van in Shoreside.
Player has to complete a number of laps of 33 checkpoints against 3
opponents. Number of laps increases each time the race is won.
Reward: Money


"RC Triad Take-Down" (Portland)

Enter "Toyz" van in Chinatown
Player must kill as many triads as possible within a time limit, using
exploding RC cars. Player starts with 30 seconds, and is awarded 5 bonus
seconds per kill.
Reward: 5,000 dollars each time they beat the high score (starts at 20, then
whatever the player’s previous best was), and a bonus 5,000 dollars the first time.


"Trash Dash"

Steal a trashmaster vehicle and press UP BUTTON.
Player must collect 12 dumpsters from pre-scripted locations on the island
they activate the mission, within a time limit.
Once the player collects all dumpsters, they must get to the junk yard in
Portland within a given time.
Rewards: cash. (1,000 dollars for Portland, 2,000 dollars for Staunton, 3,000 dollars for Shoreside)


"Car Salesman" (Portland)

Available after VIC3 has been completed..
Player must sell 4 cars per level (one of each type).
Player must drive according to a customer’s desires to increase their
satisfaction with the car. There are four types of car (offroad, sports,
family, and muscle) and each has set driving styles. As levels progress the
customers get harder to please, and easier to annoy.
Rewards: cash depending on speed of sale. Bonus for completing a level.
Once level 2 has been completed the Kuruma inside the showroom is replaced
with a Sentinel. Once level 4 has been completed the Sentinel is replaced with
a Hellenbach GT. Once level 5 has been completed the showroom starts to
generate money for the player to collect.
This money is generated as though Toni were extorting from the business.


"Bike Salesman" (Staunton)

Purchase the Hogs ‘n’ Cogs property, and enter the halo.
Player must drive according to a customer’s desires to increase their
satisfaction with the bike. There are four types of bike (dirtbike,
performance, scooter, harley) and each has set driving styles.
Rewards: cash depending on speed of sale.
Once 10 of each bike type have been sold the shop starts to generate money
for the player to collect.
This money is generated as though Toni were extorting from the business.


"PCJ Playground" (Staunton)

Get on the PCJ bike at location in Staunton.
Player must pass through all 35 checkpoints within the current time limit
(initially this is 100 seconds, then whatever last best time was).
Rewards: cash - 1,000 Dollars for each time you beat the last best course time.


"Wong Side Of The Tracks" (Portland)

Get on the Sanchez bike at location in Portland.
Player must reach the end of the course and go through as many checkpoints
first as they can, while trying not to get killed by the other racers. There
are 57 checkpoints.
Rewards: cash - 1,500 dollars each time they complete the course. 50 dollars for each
checkpoint they went through first. 1,000 dollars bonus for going through all
checkpoints first


"Avenging Angels"

Approach an Avenging Angel while wearing an Avenging Angel outfit. Then
press UP BUTTON.
Angels hang out in the following locations: Portland (Chinatown), Staunton
(Belleville Park), Shoreside (Wichita Gardens).
Player must kill gangs of criminals through 15 levels per island, in a time
limit.
Criminals are either all on foot, or in cars, each level. Difficulty is
increased through levels by car’s health, number of criminals.
Rewards: cash.
Completing Avenging Angels on Portland: One off ‘super’ Angel bike
created at Porland safe-house - bullet-proof, and can take more punishment.
Completing Avenging Angels on Staunton: getting ‘busted’ will not cost
any money.
Completing Avenging Angels on Shoreside: One off ‘super’ LandStalker
created at Shoreside safe-house, bullet-proof, better traction, heavy and can
take more punishment.


"Slash TV" (Portland)

Enter the cargo ship at night while wearing the hockey mask outfit.
Player must kill other contestants, using chainsaws. As levels progress
more waves of opponents are spawned. Dead opponents will drop money, health,
or armour.
Rewards: cash
Level 1 -100 Dollars
Level 2 - 300 Dollars
Level 3 - 500 Dollars
Level 4 - 700 Dollars
Level 5 - 1,500 Dollars


"Low Rider Rumble" (Portland)

Answer phone by dog food factory
Player can use any car to complete 2 laps against 3 opponents in Shelbys.
Reward: cash for 1st place. No reward after 1st win, stats are recorded for
lap times, race times.


"Deimos Dance" (Staunton)

Answer phone at hospital
Player can use any car to complete 1 lap against 3 opponents each driving
a Deimos.
Reward: cash for 1st place. No reward after 1st win, stats are recorded for
lap times, race times.


"Wi-Cheetah Run" (Shoreside)

Answer phone in Wichita gardens
Player can use any car to complete 2 laps against 3 opponents in Cheetahs.
Reward: cash for 1st place. No reward after 1st win, stats are recorded for
lap times, race times.


"Red Light Racing" (Portland)

Answer phone in China Town
Player can use any bike to complete 3 laps against 3 opponents on PCJs.
Reward: cash for 1st place. No reward after 1st win, stats are recorded for
lap times, race times.


"Torrington TT" (Staunton)

Answer phone near Donald Love’s building
Player can use any bike to complete 4 laps against 3 opponents on PCJs.
Reward: cash for 1st place. No reward after 1st win, stats are recorded for
lap times, race times.


"Gangsta GP" (Shoreside)

Answer phone on hill
Player can use any bike to complete 4 laps against 3 opponents on PCJs.
Reward: cash for 1st place. No reward after 1st win, stats are recorded for
lap times, race times.


"Well Stacked Pizza" (Staunton)

Joe’s Pizza in Bedford Point: enter the halo while riding a Pizzaboy
scooter.
Player must deliver pizzas (by "drive-by shooting" them) to randomly
generated customers within a time limit.
As levels progress more customers appear per level – the player only has 6
pizzas and must return to the restaurant to restock if they run out.
Rewards: cash. If all 9 levels are completed maximum health is increased by
25, and the pizza parlour starts generating money that the player can collect.
This money is generated as though Toni were extorting from the business.


"Noodle Punk" (Portland)

Punk Noodles in Chinatown: enter the halo while riding a Noodleboy scooter.
Player must deliver noodles (by "drive-by shooting" them) to randomly
generated customers within a time limit.
As levels progress more customers appear per level – the player only has 6
boxes of noodles and must return to the restaurant to restock if they run out.
Rewards: cash. If all 9 levels are completed maximum health is increased by
25, and Punk Noodles starts generating money that the player can collect.
This money is generated as though Toni were extorting from the business.


"See the Sight Before Your Flight" (Shoreside)

Go to the Airport, and enter the halo on the airport steps.
To complete a mission the player must take the tourist to the spot given,
take a photo of them, and return within a time limit. Player has a limited
number of shots per mission to take a good photo.
Spots are decided depending on the mission number - random muggers will
sometimes attempt to steal the camera from the player, and must be killed.
Rewards: cash, better photos are awarded more money. Once all 12 missions
are completed a larger reward is given, and the missions can be replayed in
random order.


"Karmageddon" (Staunton)

Enter the Fire engine behind Staunton fire station.
Player must gain enough points within a time limit. Points are awarded for
killing peds, ramming cars, flipping cars, dismounting bikers, etc.
Rewards: cash.


"9mm Mayhem" (Portland)

Get on the Freeway bike in the Red Light District.
Player is in 1st person view on the back of the bike, and given an Uzi
submachine gun to kill as many randomly generated targets as they can within 3
minutes.
AI driver will hunt down targets, and timer only counts down once target is
in range. Player is also given 3 bursts of adrenaline to use when they want,
to aid aiming.
Reward: cash.


"Scooter Shooter" (Portland)

Get on the Faggio scooter in Chinatown.
Player is in 1st person view on the back of the bike, and given a Tec9
submachine gun to kill as many randomly generated targets as they can within 3
minutes.
AI driver will hunt down targets, and timer only counts down once target is
in range. Player is also given 3 bursts of adrenaline to use when they want,
to aid aiming.
Reward: cash.


"Wichita Wipeout!" (Shoreside)

Get on the Angel bike in the Wichita picnic area.
Player is in 1st person view on the back of the bike, and given an M4
assault rifle to kill as many randomly generated targets as they can within 3
minutes.
AI driver will hunt down targets, and timer only counts down once target is
in range. Player is also given 3 bursts of adrenaline to use when they want,
to aid aiming.
Reward: cash.


"Scrapyard Challenge" (Portland)

Get on the Sanchez dirt-bike in the junkyard.
Player must collect as many points as possible in a set time limit.
Drive through the coronas to score points. 1 point for green, 2 points for
amber, 3 points for red. The coronas are arranged around the junk yard so that
the hardest ones to reach give the most points.
Reward: Initial cash reward and a cash multiplier for using the crusher.


"Bump & Grinds" (Portland)

Get on the Sanchez dirt-bike at the dirt bike course.
Climbing onto the bike activates the Time Trial menu, where the player can
select a number of unlocked Time Trials to race.
Player must complete three laps of the off-road course, attempting to beat
the target time stated. When a target is beaten, another Time Trial is
unlocked to play.
Reward: cash . Once all ten courses have been beaten the trigger vehicle
will be replaced with a an upgraded Sanchez, allowing the player to get even
better course times.


Import / Export

Deliver 16 listed makes of vehicle to a garage at Love Media in Bedford
Point, Staunton.
Each car awards the player with an amount of money depending on the model.
Collecting all 16 makes a Spirit E and a PCJ start generating at the player’s
Staunton safehouse.
Vehicles are: Hearse, Faggio, Freeway, F550 Deimos, Manana, Hellenbach GT,
ViTurbo, V8 Ghost, Thunder-Rodd, PCJ600, Sentinel, Infernus, Banshee, Patriot,
BF Injection, Landstalker.
